It was lite at Ibadan environs as AFEEDi in partnership with Youth-D and three other organizations organized a youth entrepreneurship and empowerment program tagged project SKILL-UP.
High points of the program include skill training sections ranging from tie and dye, fashion design, shoe making, paper craft, graphic design, desktop publishing and more.
Participants were further sensitized on the need to be enterprising and should not depend on the Government to create jobs for them. One of AFEEDi’s Enterprise partners, Abeni Print, was also on ground to facilitate part of the sessions.
The event which gathered more than 120 participants and lasted for 3 days, came to an end with an exhibition of projects created by the participants. In addition to this, all participants were co-opted into a follow-up mentorship session for the purpose of continuity and sustainability of skills and lessons learnt during the program.
